some jubilee jewellery

As the jubilee weekend approaches more and more bunting is appearing along garden fences and hanging from windows, it cannot fail to inspire and so finally today I sat down and sewed these glass cube beads together and made my own jubilee inspired jewellery.

I might just have to make some for myself too as the Olympic torch comes to our village tomorrow!

With The Newport Show in mind

Having just booked a place with WiRE (Women In Rural Enterprise) for a stand at the Newport Show, I need to start building up my stock of made up items, so with that in mind this morning I made this necklace, bracelet and earring set. This jewellery has been made using Swarovski crystal pearls and Swarovski crystals with tiny mauve glass beads.

I promise I will be making jewellery in other colours too, but as I also had an order to complete today in these colours the beads were already out on my beading mat and the ideas were flowing!

Only problem being my jewellery doesn't seem to hang around long these days so it might not still be in my collection by July 14th.

tiaras come in all shapes, sizes and colours

It is always exciting when I get a commission to knit a tiara as they are always so different. One of my most recent orders for a knitted tiara arrived at the end of April, it was to be a gift and the remit was for it to be as purple and sparkly as possible. So after the design had been selected I set too with my knitting needles and knitted this!

Today the tiara was received and judging by the message the sender received, I think it is safe to say that it was a success!!!

An old favourite makes another appearance

Over the last few years I have made several of these necklaces in a variety of colours. They are great for wearing with a summer top and equally great with a pretty floral dress or even for evening wear - If you can only take one necklace away on a summer holiday this has to be it!
